Ice-free cooling system for PCR preparation and storage of 0.2 and 0.5 ml PCR tubes and strips as well as 96 well plates in standard and low profile well shape. Maintains sample temperature of less than 5 °C for up to 3 hours (with lid off). Maintains the entire 96-well plate at a temperature of 0 °C for 1 hour. When the temperature ceiling of 6 °C has been exceeded, users are signaled by a contrasting color change of the cooler, or a single well.
