The refractometer measures both the refractive index over a large measuring range and the Brix value, and is suitable for applications in small laboratories with low sample throughput, schools, colleges, and universities. The prism temperature is monitored electronically and shown on the integrated digital display. Dispersion measurements of solids such as glass, contact lenses, and fibre optics can be performed according to standard procedures.
